Register a business account
Register a business account in Nuba. This is quick and easy, and is completely free for 30 days.
Select workplaces & users
Once the account is created, you will receive an SMS with a password. You log in to nuba.se from a computer and set up one or more workplaces and users.
Punch in and out
Now it’s time to get started! Users manage the staff ledger by checking in and out with the mobile app. If you want, you can turn on automatic check-in and check-out.
Current status
Users added as administrators in Nuba can always see who is checked in, both in the app and on the web.
During the tax authorities’ inspection visits
When the tax authorities come for an inspection, any of the checked-in users can easily show the staff ledger on their mobile phone.

Nuba also works as a punch clock, so if you want to export reported time as a basis for salaries and invoicing, this can be done in no time.
Good to know about staff registers
- The personnel ledger must clearly show the people who are active in the business activity, with their names and personal identification numbers, as well as the times these employees are active.
- For the construction sector, the law requires that personnel records be kept electronically. For other sectors, it can be kept electronically or manually in book form.
- In the electronic version, all events must be logged to show who made a change and when. It is therefore not possible to make your own ledger in Excel or similar programs.
- In the event of an audit, the personnel ledger must be presented to the tax authority staff in the course of a workplace inspection.
- The tax authorities do not interfere with the system used, as long as the requirements are met. There are no requirements for access control systems or card readers.
- For the construction sector, which thus requires an electronic personnel ledger, it must be kept for jobs above four price base amounts and where the developer is a legal person. This means that work for private individuals is not affected by this law. It is the developer who is responsible for keeping the staff register. The developer can delegate the responsibility to a general contractor.
