A timesheet is usually submitted once a month. Depending on what you’re reporting time for, it can vary—some unemployment funds (a-kassor) want the timesheet once a week, while most companies want it monthly for payroll.
If you use Nuba, you never have to worry about filling out the timesheet yourself—Nuba makes time reporting easy. Nuba does it for you based on your clock-ins and clock-outs. All you need to think about is clocking in and out.
How to Fill in your Timesheet
When filling in a timesheet manually, it’s important to state when you worked—both Monday through Friday and weekends. It’s also important to enter the exact hours you worked. Many associate timesheets with the unemployment fund, and in their reports it’s important to indicate if you had parental leave, vacation, sick leave, or similar.
With Nuba’s services, you don’t have to worry about everything that needs to be filled in. When you register as a user, you’ll be connected to your other systems. It will therefore show in Nuba’s timesheet if you were sick, at home caring for a child, or had other absences. At the end of the month, or when your company prepares for payroll, your manager exports the information collected in the Nuba app and forwards it to the appropriate recipient.
How Time Reporting Works with Nuba
If your company chooses to use Nuba’s system, you as an employee will download an app to your phone (there’s also an SMS option for those who can’t or don’t want apps). When you arrive at work, open the app and tap “check in.” Your start time will be recorded. When you leave, you do the same by tapping “check out.”
We also offer the option to install NFC tags that the company can place in strategic locations to make check-ins even easier. With our latest update, you don’t even need to take your phone out of your pocket—you’ll be checked in automatically when you arrive at work. It doesn’t get any easier.
Why should I Fill in a Timesheet?
By filling in a timesheet correctly, you ensure you get paid for the time you’ve worked. It can also be important, for example, to receive compensation from the unemployment fund, parental benefits, or similar allowances.
Easy to Export and Submit the Documentation with Nuba
By using a digital time clock like Nuba’s, the process is simple. After a month has passed and you’ve recorded your time in the Nuba app or via SMS, your manager can generate a timesheet based on the hours you’ve worked.
The report can then be transferred either to Visma Lön or other payroll systems, or exported as a PDF to any destination.
Can a Time Clock Help with Compensation from the Unemployment Fund?
While unemployed, you may have fixed-term work, part-time work, or hourly shifts. To receive compensation from the unemployment fund, you must record exactly what you did—Monday to Friday or on weekends—and the exact number of hours per day.
If you work at a company that uses Nuba’s system, you will register in the app at the start or end of each shift. You’ll then see exactly which hours you worked, making it easier to fill in your timesheet for your unemployment fund.
